Reading Block

Here I will write about what I do in Reading Block.

Reading Response; The garden of the purple dragon Carole Wilkinson

Our class have finished Dragon Keeper and we are now up to Garden of the Purple Dragon.
Ancient China, Han Dynasty. Ping thinks she is safe hiding in the shadow of the Tai Shan mountains. Here she struggles for Kai, the baby dragon she is responsible for. But even in her remote mountain hideout, Ping's enemies find her. It is Kai they want. Who can Ping trust? It is impossible to distinguish friend from foe. The easy road beckons. Will they find sanctuary in the Garden of the Purple Dragon? Will Ping embrace her true destiny?

We are now up to chapter 4 in this book and page 34.

Reading Response; Hope Bay Nicole Plüss

»FINISHED!« »-♥-»
I LOVE THIS BOOK AND THE OTHER BOOKS BY HER THAT I WANT TO READ BY NICOLE PLUSS ARE:
Black Belt, Kindred and Beach Baby

Reading Response; Dragon Keeper Carole Wilkinson

Mrs J is reading Dragon Keeper by Carole Wilkinson to our class. We have read 20 chapters out of 24. I like this book and think I should read the second one when we're finished reading the first one. My favourite character is Ping because she is the Dragon Keeper. I also like the Dragon, Long Danzie and Wa Pings pet rat. This book is full of excitement and adventure. I also think it's really good because I love Chinese books because they are so fun to hear.

Reading Response; Hope Bay Nicole Plüss

I am reading Hope Bay by Nicole Plüss!

Im going to show you the blurb just in case you want to know what its about:

Every evening Possum waits with Olga in the calm water of Hope Bay for the dolphins to surge from the deep. They only ever come for the old woman and no one knows why, though Possum is sure it is magic. But there is more to Olga than just magic ... there are secrets. Secrets that drove Olga far away from her homeland to the precious, pristine wilderness of Hope Bay. Secrets that she will never speak of, not even to Possum.

I have only read up to Chapter 3 but I am already in love with this book!
Olga used to live in Holland but planes came and nobody knew why they were there, they just stared up at the sky and waited, until the planes started dropping bombs and everybody got scared and ran away from there hometown. What annoys me about the book is that the author doesn't really tell you about Olga or the other characters, but as if i'm going to give up on the book because of that! There is 268 pages and if you look at the book it looks like it will take ages, but its got quite big words and I have been reading it pretty fast!
